I hope that everyone that came out Saturday had a great experience and most importantly that your kids had a festive time. This year was the first step in the expansion of what we hope to build into a flagship event for BRIS and the entire Baton Rouge community.
I would like to extend a word of thanks to all the parents who volunteered and made the day so memorable. Shelley & Patrick Mockler for their generosity sponsoring the beer & wine garden as well as their team's services throughout the planning of the event. To all the room parents, our beloved teachers and power moms for rallying all the classes with extra special thanks to project leaders: Paula, Kalpana, Lisa Marie, Albina, Saliha, Wendi, Amy, Mona, and Cheryl. Bert for running our Carnival commercial to help spread the word beyond the walls of BRIS. Dr. Douglas Mendoza for his generous donation of delicious Rotolo's pizza. To the gladiator dads that braved the heat and delivered during Saturday setup and Sunday cleanup: Michael, Brooks, Faruk, Chris, Abraham, Bubba, Madison, Lorin, Andy, Ricardo, Sebastien, Paul, Hewitt and Tommy. I sincerely thank you for the heavy lifting & mechanical prowess to pull off this event.
The executive team...what can I say, it was an honor and pleasure to co-produce this event. Bubba for bringing the gameday tent experience to a whole new level and delivering on anything that needed to be done. Carlos and Kerii for pulling out all the stops to rally generators, tables and volunteers to handle the extended hours & scope of the event. Lorin and Jane for guiding the financial ship and ensuring we were profitable. Melanie Berlin for her endless support, mentoring and behind-the-scenes wizardry. Danielle and Kathryn you two are the real reason why this carnival was such a huge success and everyone should know how much time and creative energy you put in to ensure no stone was left unturned. Lastly, to Hafid and Nathalie. Many overlook the fact you too are parents of BRIS and want to ensure your children are part of the best educational experience possible. I appreciate the support and faith you put in the vision for this year's event.
I'm positive that I missed a few names so I will extend a big THANKS once again to all of you that made this year's event such a great success.
